How will a bilateral breast augmentation benefit me?
The art of breast enhancement is to create a breast that is pert, shapely, sits correctly on the curved chest wall and feels soft. The goal is to enhance breast appearance, not just size.
Breast augmentation surgery typically involves using implants to increase the size of your breasts or restore breast volume that has been lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. Breast augmentation can increase the fullness and projection of your breasts, improve the balance of your figure and contribute to enhancing self-image and self-confidence.
Types of implants:
Round implants are symmetrical in shape and give the breast equal enhanced fullness in all aspects. The projections, dimensions and covering can all vary. They can be both textured or smooth and because the implant is round, rotation is not an issue.
Shaped implants mimic the natural shape of the breast, with a more smooth take off from the chest wall and maximal fullness in the lower pole. This is especially useful in reconstruction after mastectomy or where there is a poor residual breast shape completely dependent on the implant.
Conical implants are designed to effect a very smooth takeoff from the chest wall and lift the nipple areola maximally, so effecting a breast lift at the same time. They are more challenging to position but allow for volume enhancement and lift with a single procedure, single scar.
Ergonomix implants. The Motiva ergonomix range offer a very soft gel that moulds and moves more like a natural breast to achieve excellent shape with all the ease of use and benefits of a simple round implant. The implant acts ‘shaped’ so the fullest aspect of the implant is in the lower pole when upright, giving a beautiful natural appearance.
Combined or laminated breast enhancement is the next level concept in breast augmentation that takes breast augmentation to the next level in terms of quality and naturalness of results. Smaller implants are used to add structure, shape and/or projection to the breast whilst fat grafting using your own excess subcutaneous fat is used to enhance size, ensure implant coverage and make more natural feeling breasts. The benefits include the provision of the most natural looking and feeling of breasts with removal of subcutaneous fat from sites of excess.
Kensington based specialist breast surgeon, Dr Rozina Ali is experienced in using all types of breast implants: round, shaped, conical or ergonomix. Textured, smooth or polyurethane coated. her repertoire includes use of the lightweight Blite implants and correction of difficult breast issues and significant breast asymmetry.
Dr Rozina is a pioneer in using Crisalix technology, one of the world's leading tech companies in the field of 3D aesthetic simulation. this allows her to provide you with valuable insight into post-procedure appearance using 3-D augmented reality and help you decide which size and shape of implants to select.
Who would benefit from a bilateral breast augmentation?
Breast augmentation is a deeply personal decision, and it's important to pursue it for yourself, not ever to meet society or another’s expectations. If however you have lost volume and confidence, feel your body has changed and are looking to regain a fuller figure, then you may be an excellent candidate for the procedure. Good health and realistic expectations are invaluable prerequisites
Breast augmentation may also be the ideal solution if you are unhappy with the size of your breasts, have lost shape or volume due to pregnancy, weight loss, or hormonal or accelerated ageing, or feel that the upper pole of your breasts appears "empty." Additionally, breast augmentation can address asymmetry even in cases where one or both breasts didn’t develop normally -aplasia- or have an elongated shape- tubular or tuberose breast deformity.

YOUR BILATERAL BREAST AUGMENTATION JOURNEY
1) Before your treatment: The Consultation
How the bilateral breast augmentation procedure works:
The consultation is THE critical step in ensuring the success of your breast procedure. During this session, we’ll explore why you’re considering surgery, your expectations, and the results you hope to achieve. Rozina will carefully review your medical history, including any conditions, medications, supplements, or lifestyle factors such as alcohol or tobacco use, and discuss any family history of breast cancer. Dr Rozina Ali will advise and arrange for baseline breast screening as well as review and discuss results from mammograms or biopsies.
The Rozina Ali Clinic will always prioritise your overall health and wellbeing. Dr Ali will examine your breasts in detail—measuring their size, shape, skin quality, and symmetry. Photographs are taken for your records, and she will discuss all available options to develop a tailored treatment plan. Rozina will guide you through the likely outcomes, potential risks, and any complications, so you can be fully informed and confident before making any decisions. Where appropriate Rozina will share your individualised Crisalix images with you.
2) Your Treatment
Dr Rozina Ali is skilled in selecting the appropriate shape and type of implants depending on the natural breast tissue quality and the dimensions of the breast. The size of implant is determined by both patient preference and the breast envelope dimensions. The plane of implant insertion is determined by the implant size requested and the quality of tissues of the chest wall.
The selected implants are usually inserted into the breast ‘envelope’ through a short (4-5cm) incision at the level of the inframammary fold – the crease beneath the breasts, or where suitable, through a lower peri-areolar incision. The procedure itself consists of placing implants either under the chest wall or pectoral muscle or more usually on top of the muscle, under the breast gland itself. Breast augmentation surgery is carried out under general anaesthetic, and is an ideal day case procedure.
3) Your Aftercare
After your surgery, you’ll be monitored in a recovery area, with your breast incisions covered by tape and supported by a bandage or bra to reduce swelling and aid healing. You'll likely be able to go home within a few hours.
Before leaving, you'll receive detailed instructions on how to care for yourself, receive prescribed medications, pain relief and blood thinners. we will also schedule your wound check and follow-up appointments. We recommend you wear a comfortable, supportive bra continuously for the first 2-3 weeks.
For the first 24–48 hours, we advise you rest and take it easy, followed by a few days of reduced activity or working from home. Some minor discomfort and swelling can persist for 1-2 weeks. Resume normal activities and exercise only as directed by Rozina and her team.
Where will the treatment take place?
With operating facilities in such prestigious locations as King Edward VII hospital and the Weymouth Street hospital in Marylebone, the heart of London's Harley street medical district, you can be assured of expert and responsive surgical care.
Wound checks and outpatient visits are offered in both Marylebone and Kensington around several sites in the sumptuous Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. The Rozina Ali Clinic offers best in class, Kensington based, bespoke aesthetic treatments tailored to your individual needs.
